Cedric the Sorcerer and Wormwood

Royal Sorcerer of the kingdom of Enchancia, has a pet raven that's probably smarter and more evil than him, often times stuck babysitting annoying children, it's Cedric the Sorcerer! And his lovable raven Wormwood.

The thing I like most about Cedric is that he's not a generic always evil 100% pure villain. Since his father was a hero and his mother was wicked, Cedric has both good and evil in him. Some episodes he's genuinely helpful, and other times he's plotting to take over the kingdom.
Cedric's always a jerk though. He's got that snarky attitude and doesn't like anyone intruding on his time or personal space no matter who or what the circumstances. You could sort of classify him as a "reluctant hero" but the jerkiness balances him back to "villain being nice" status. (What, the princess is in danger? Oh FINE, I'll help save her... The kingdom is on fire? I GUESS I could take time out of my busy day of doing nothing to use a magic spell to put it out...) In fact the only times he ever seems to come out his tower is when he's dragged out.

Despite Cedric's villainous status (that everyone else in the castle seems completely oblivious about) there's still some moral code in him in that he doesn't go too far to get what he wants and doesn't hurt people in the process. Even his motivations towards evil aren't just for the sake of being bad. He's been mistreated his whole life, gets no respect from anyone, and tends to be bossed around by kids. So his motivations for taking over are more to prove to everyone how great he really is.

Long story short he's one of those villains who makes you want to root for him.
